Description
Compost is decomposed organic matter, rich in humus and nutrients, created by microorganisms in an aerobic (oxygen-required) process. It is used as a natural fertilizer and soil conditioner to improve soil fertility, structure, and water retention. The process of composting requires a balance of “green” (nitrogen-rich) and “brown” (carbon-rich) organic materials, water, and oxygen to break down waste and create a stable, dark, crumbly product that benefits plant growth and soil health
